Duckfat is delighted to get all the potatoes used to make their famous frites from a single source in Maine—Green Thumb Farms.

Green Thumb Farms is a third generation family farm. They have been farming in Western Maine since 1965. They grow on over 2200 acres of rich Saco River Valley soil, doing their part to preserve Maine’s open spaces and agricultural heritage while supporting the Fryeburg area community and economy.

Maine is known for producing a lot of wonderful things—blueberries, lobsters, milk, eggs, and potatoes. Potato roots stem back hundreds of years in Maine. The hard work and dedication that is poured into these crops in the harsh seasonality of Maine’s rugged terrain is what makes Duckfat frites special. Duckfat cares deeply that every potato served can be traced back to the local lands and family that raised them.
